Nyla Free Designs Office: Metrie Doors
When we started making selections for our office improvements we knew we wanted the following:
- Ample storage
- Space for our sample library (something we didn’t have before)
- An office space with an err to residential
- Design details that would be helpful in speaking with clients about design options and ideas for their homes.
Checking off all of these boxes with respect to doors was Metrie. Their selection offered us a classic residential feel, interesting detail and the opportunity for lots of storage to house our sample library. Check, check, check and check!!
We chose the Pretty Simple style door for its classic detailing and interest. A slightly traditional feel that mixes well in a modern space.
There was much discussion over what paint colour to choose. We even put it out there to our social media friends! Overall the consensus was divided between yellow (our brand colour) and black. Ultimately the decision was black to provide a bold, yet neutral backdrop to our open workspace.
In the few weeks we have been in our space, we have received multiple compliments, we have used them as examples and discussion points in design meetings and we’re loving the overall look and feel in our space. The design and detail is exactly what we were looking for. We chose Benjamin Moore Jet Black in a Semi-Gloss finish and love it!
I’ve just returned from and incredible trip to KBIS as a participant with BlogTour, organized by Modenus. It is the largest kitchen & bath industry show in North America and Metrie was one of our sponsors.
