Project Reveal: Elbow Park Modern Front Entry

Come on in!

We're thrilled to finally share the home interior of our Elbow Park Modern project and we're kicking it off with the front entrance.

As with most of our projects, especially new builds, our heart and soul goes into it from the ground up. It was back in July of 2015 that I went for coffee with this client to catch up, and was excited to learn of their new home in the works. We had worked with the home designer, DeJong Design Associates on previous projects so that comfort level was already there and we were excited to continue our relationship with this valued client.

After two years of design and contruction our clients moved into their new home in June of 2017, after a successful build by Insignia Custom Homes. We had a great team, all who worked in the best interest of the client and showed a high level of respect from one to the other. A Calgary dream team if you will. Building the right team is paramount in a successful project.

We're thrilled to finally have the opportunity to share more of this beautiful home, a wonderful collaboration between clients, home designer, builder and interior designer.

So, welcome!

Greeted by Griffin, this entrance welcomes guests with a porcelain tile floor and a grouping of mirrors in a silver leaf finish from Herringer Kiss Gallery. An acrylic bench offers seating and an area carpet from Elte fills the space with a hint of yellow and lilac, an unexpected combination. The Spiro pendant with cherry wood by LZF adds a modern, natural flavour to the space.

This space is light filled, casual yet sophisticated and the perfect welcome to guests. Adjacent to the right is a functional mudroom for the family and to the left a beautiful study - more to come on both of these areas!
